KAIA Practical Blockchain, joining JBA──LINE Mini Dapp performing well, accelerating expansion in Japan

The KAIA DLT Foundation (KAIA), which develops the KAIA Practical Blockchain, announced on June 20 that it has joined the Japan Blockchain Association (JBA) as a full member, marking the first time as a Practical Blockchain mainnet.

KAIA has indicated its policy to accelerate the business development of the KAIA Block through collaboration with Japanese companies in various fields, including the Mini Dapp business on LINE Messenger, which has already acquired over 100 million users since its launch, and yen-denominated stablecoins.

The KAIA Practical Blockchain is a layer 1 public blockchain established through a unified agreement by the governance members of Klaytn, developed by Kakao, and Finschia, developed by LINE, both of which were developed in Korea in 2024. It aims to leverage this user base to build the largest Web3 ecosystem in Asia.

Chairman So Sang-min of the KAIA DLT Foundation commented, "KAIA has been building a Web3 ecosystem on LINE, which is used by about 70% of Japanese people. We expect that this joining of the JBA will provide significant support for our foundation's regulatory compliance and the establishment of consumer-centric Block chain services."
